Held In Stars
A regent will be appointed if a title holder is:
- Mentally or physically incapable of ruling
- Has not reached the legal age of consent.
- Is away on an ascetic pilgrimage.
During the regency the regent will take care of most matters of state. Regents rarely have a political mandate beyond maintaining the status quo. A regent, for example, can’t declare war except with the most extreme casus foederis.
